During the pandemic I started working with my father on his memoirs, and we ended up creating a beautifully designed book that preserves his stories for our family. The next 509 project was completely different — the oral history of a racing boat published privately as a coffee table book. Currently I’m developing several other 509 projects, including the autobiography of a prominent investor.

Each book is written, edited, and designed by top publishing professionals, printed on high-quality paper in a beautiful format. The client has final say over all elements, including the team assembled, and the end result is not just a narrative, but a beautiful, physical collectible.

What’s it like to work with me?

“I remember giving Greg some pushback at the beginning, thinking to myself, ‘I’ve got this.’ But I was wrong, as was made plainly obvious when Greg shared his first sample chapter with me. What is more important than the authentic transformation of the content is the preservation of my voice and tone throughout. That requires an uncommon level of awareness and sensitivity.”

— Neil deGrasse Tyson

“Greg is a hardworking delightful guy to work with who is very funny. Without him and his ability to crank out amazing dialog with excellent reportage and interview skills, I’d be nowhere — nowhere I tell you…”

— Bill Nye the Science Guy

“I’ve worked with Greg Mone on three books and he’s been an absolute pro at every turn. He’s a wonderful writer, has the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and in an engaging voice, and he’s quick to respond to editorial input. My authors—no slouches!—have loved working with him, and have been deeply appreciative of the way he has conveyed their ideas in accessible prose and well-crafted narratives. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”
